Other Projects

This space is dedicated to showcasing various projects I have completed individually and with my peers at Seattle Pacific University.

01

Draping

One of the courses I took at Seattle Pacific University was Draping. The focus of this course was to learn the different methods of draping on the dress form and being able to showcase our draped projects. Our task for the final was to drape one project conventionally with fabric and the other unconventionally utilizing no form of textiles. I draped two final projects; one portrayed with fabric and the other portrayed with Trader Joe's paper bags. My inspiration for both projects was Vietnamese culture; one inspired by the Vietnamese traditional dress "Ao Dai" and the other inspired by traveler's aesthetic in traveling to Vietnam during the hot humid summer.

02

Fashion Illustration

One of the courses I took at Seattle Pacific University was Fashion Illustration. The focus of this course was to learn how to draw basic croquis, understand rendering techniques, and produce our own collections. I produced 3 collections each with different aesthetics.

03

Flat Pattern

One of the courses I took at Seattle Pacific University was Flat Pattern. The focus of this course was to learn how to draft various slopers, learn how to make dart and pattern manipulations, and produce a garment for the dress form or for ourselves. I designed a mermaid skirt for the dress form using the A-line flare technique.

04

Apparel Production and Evaluation

One of the courses I took at Seattle Pacific University was Apparel Production and Evaluation. The focus of this course was to learn about every detail that goes into making a garment. We were assigned a group project to demonstrate everything we have learned and to produce our own line for an existing brand. My group decided on the brand "Lirika Matoshi." Examples shown was my contribution as a designer to the group project in design, flats, and the construction of the tech packs.
